Dr.Rippy
S. Bevin Rippy, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)

Medical Director

Dr. Rippy is a board-certified medical oncologist with a special interest in feline oncology and canine urothelial carcinoma. She graduated from veterinary school at UC Davis in 2012 and completed internships at VCA SFVS in San Francisco, the University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center in Columbia, and The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in Columbus.

She returned to Missouri to complete her residency in medical oncology in 2018. Dr. Rippy has worked in both private practice and academia and currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri. She enjoys traveling with her husband and curling up with her cats, a cup of tea, and a good book.

Darla Combs
Darla Combs, RVT, BS

Registered Veterinary Technologist

Darla Combs, RVT, BS, is a Registered Veterinary Technologist with over 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine. After earning her associate’s degree from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College in 2010, Darla began working at the Warrenton Vet Clinic, assisting in surgery and patient care. She later gained specialty experience at BluePearl Pet Hospital before joining the University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center in Wentzville in 2019.

In 2025, she completed her bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology from the University of Missouri and became part of the newly established Missouri Animal Cancer Care team. Known for her dedication, teamwork, and outstanding client communication, Darla supports oncology patients and their families with empathy and skill. Outside of work, she and her family run a hobby farm and enjoy crafting, gardening, and outdoor adventures.

Sierra
Sierra Daniels, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Sierra graduated from The Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College in 2018 and has been our radiation therapist since 2020. She brings a passion for using advanced imaging and treatment techniques to improve the quality of life for pets facing complex medical conditions. Sierra takes pride in guiding pet owners through the treatment process with clarity and compassion. Outside the clinic, she enjoys baking and spending time with her family and pets.

Clare Frederking
Clare Frederking, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Clare Frederking, RVT, graduated as a licensed Veterinary Technician from Jefferson College in 2008 and has worked in the veterinary field for over 20 years. With extensive oncology experience, Clare has focused on radiation and medical oncology since 2013. She specializes in client communication and compassionate patient care and is proud to be part of the Missouri Animal Cancer Care team.

Outside of work, Clare enjoys spending time at her family’s property near the Lake of the Ozarks with her husband, two boys, and their three dogs — Gertie, Wilma, and Bernard. At home, she also shares life with two cats, Frank and Elinor, and a flock of chickens.

Abigail Russell
Abigail Russell, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Abby has been working in veterinary medicine since 2018 and earned her RVT license in 2021 after graduating from Jefferson College. She is passionate about client communication, forming strong bonds with pets and families, and providing compassionate, skilled care — especially to her favorite patients: cats! Abby found her calling in oncology, where she’s proud to support patients and their owners every step of the way. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing volleyball, and spending time with her two cats, Kassia and Hera.

Carla plays a vital role in supporting both the veterinary team and the families they serve. With a deep compassion for animals and people, she helps ease the stress that often accompanies a cancer diagnosis. Her background in administration and care coordination reflects her dedication to making every client’s experience as smooth, supportive, and reassuring as possible.
